Perfect location overlooking the ocean. The house is well equipped and furnished with everything you need for your stay. It was absolutely clean and recently renovated. We did not find any water/bug/humidity problems in the house (opposed to what was stated in some earlier reviews). Communication with the host was easy and clear. Parking is onsite that is a big plus.

Very good location for island tours.
Very good location for island tours. There are interesting natural and historical sights nearby. Here you will find the factory of traditional Queijadas, here you can have tea or coffee . Also a port with the possibility of boat trips.

We loved staying in this special and beautiful house.
We loved staying in this special and beautiful house. Everything was perfect and it felt like home. We had a nice bbq in the very well kept garden, cooked meals in the complete kitchen and watched a film by the fireplace in the living room. We ate bananas that the kind neighbours offered us. We have stayed in a lot of different places all over the world but this is the house that we would always want to live in. Dear Pedro and family, thank you!

This village is in a wonderful location to explore the island if you have a car. It sits right on the water and has several wonderful restaurants and a marina with opportunities for activities like boating or snorkeling. It is not a location for shopping, but go into the city for that!

Stayed two days. Lots to do around the island Did not see the town but on the way from Furnas asked to driver to see the church high up on the hill - our Lady of Peace. Very special and spectacular view

This place was where we took or whale watching excursion which was awesome. Saw so many dolphins at 1 time. I got great pics of dolphins in mid flight out of the water as they were playful and showing off some.AAnonymous - Scored 6.06.0

Although the places are wonderful, the people at Pestana Bahia Hotel are trying one thing: to take your money! It is unqualified to block your ebbs when you come and, on departure, even if you pay all the obligations you have, the money will remain blocked! For everybody not having about 1050 euros for five days is a horror. It's a shame! I will NEVER return to this hotel! And if you go, avoid your money being blocked !!!.

Set in the hill of a very peaceful town, with a view of the ocean and only a short and enjoyable drive from a few key locations such as Furnas and Lagoa do Fogo. The drive to and from airport is also very easy and less than 30min. For those who like to cook at home, the kitchen is very well equipped and there is a very big supermarket (Pingo Doce Vila Franca do Campo). Owner is great, very responsive and friendly. Apartment is very spacious and cozy. We felt at home.

The cabin is simply furnished (for example no dishwasher), but very clean. There was a baby bed arranged. We loved the portch to sit outside, with a view of Vila Franca do Campo. The gardens are very beautiful with lots of flowers. Our son loved to run after the chicken. It is a quiet place, very well located to discover the whole island (by car). We would very much recommend to stay here!

Buffet food was tasty and plentiful, with a great selection and to suit all tastes. Our room was fantastic with panorama views across the ocean, truly beautful.
