A great place on the border with Italy.
A great place on the border with Italy. You can rent cross-country skis and go for a walk through the forest for tens of kilometers. There is a shop and a cafe, a pleasant atmosphere, you can drink coffee or beer and enjoy the views of the forest and mountain peaks. You can meet many beautiful birds and forest animals.

Seeking a winter wonderland experience ? Kranjska Gora is like something out of a storybook - pretty as a picture. Lots of atmosphere over the Christmas holiday season. It is a small village and a ski resort. When it's not skiing season, you can visit various lovely places, like River Soca. There is very delicious food in the restaurant-pizzeria in Hotel Kotnik.VassilBulgaria - Scored 1010

It's a really adorable Alpine town, with an ideal location...
It's a really adorable Alpine town, with an ideal location to the top attractions of the region. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance, it's very neat and tidy with great vibe (motorbikes, bicycles, hikers, families - there's something for everyone).

Very pleasant mountain town, we were there in Summer, beautiful surroundings nice vibe and plenty to enjoy. With a car you can access lots of activities in the area and Lake Bled is an hour away. Italy and Austria are also very accessible. I liked the fact that it was very bicycle friendly, lots of cycle hire, trails and tours and dedicated infrastructure for getting around by bicycle, a really good summer cycle holiday hub. In Winter it would be fun for families and those of average ability but maybe a bit limited for advanced mountain sports fans (only an assumption looking at the ski area)

Penzion Livada is a lovely traditional alpine guesthouse. Very nice rooms, balcony with great views of the mountains and a great breakfast with good service. We also very much appreciated the secure garage for our bicycles. It’s only a short walk into the centre of Kranjska Gora. We would definitely stay here again!

The rooms are well-equipped, clean and quiet. The hotel is perfectly located for starting trips in the Slovenian Alps and Triglav national park. I visited the hotel in summer, so I cannot assess how it would be in winter time. The hotel offers lots of additional services but I did not use them during my stay.

The hotel in next to the ski slopes and in the center of Kranjska gora. You have free entrance to the pool and even to the bigger pools in a hotel Ramada. (ex Larix). And I also liked a little later checkout - 11h. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Short walking distance to restaurants and especially grocery store. Huge amounts of tv-channels, incl. Sports! 😄 Kranjska Gora is a perfect location for enjoying the Slovenian nature!
