Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful - it's important for non-Portuguese speakers to bear in mind that English is not widely spoken on the island but the reception staff tried their best with their English which I really appreciated (and the manager speaks excellent English and is available by whatsapp to assist with any queries).
Alex the manager took the time to introduce herself to me one day when she saw me in the lobby to make sure I was satisfied with everything and to give me some tips for exploring the island, which was very nice of her.
Reliable Wi-Fi and comfortable room with good air-conditioning.

Every country has its interesting sights and so has Sao Tomé. It is worth a visit. It is much more African than Cabo Verde. It lacks however the traditional villages like Benin or Togo. I was a bit disappointed by the quality of its beaches and the snorkeling. There is not much of coral, but there are colourful fishes and large quantities. There are great hiking possibilities in dry season in beautiful green plantation or forests. It is a lot safer than many other African destination. There are beautiful birds, but no large animals in the natural parks.

An unknown jewel!
An unknown jewel! We visited idyllic places, saw the most amazing sunsets over tropical beaches & saw very few tourists.
Most of the locals were very friendly and helpful. It is a photographic paradise.

They have a lot of historical sites and great beaches and islands with friendly people and lots of local cuisines. The city is in bad shape and bad roads and they need to develop the tourism sector particularly their tourist sites . The airport is bad for a tourism country like that and the hotels needs to up their services to meet a value for money and they need to learn English language which is an international language especially the staff of the various hotels and all tour guides. It’s a great place to visit at most for 5days.

Very big Pool and outside area, rich breakfast and nice bar and Restaurant. The staff was allways competent from the reception to the cook to the cleaning personal-it was everybodys dedication to make IT a good stay -well achieved. We did couple tours, that were recommended, truly hidden gems that we probably could not find on our own-well organised! All in all one of the best Hotels and services in sao tome!
Very central hotel with a restaurant on site. Included breakfast was standard and ok. Generator started in seconds after every power cut and they happened frequently. Fridge in the room is a big bonus. AC worked excellent. Intermar supermarket is on next block. Plenty of money changers outside.
It’s a lovely property very well suited for families. Tiago and Joana are great hosts and very knowledgeable about São Tomé, they will make sure that your stay is very pleasant. We had a great time there. The breakfast was amazing, the best we had during our stay.
- proximity to airport (walking distance)
- very helpfull staff: they had arranged currency exchange, kept my lagguage for a week when I left Sao Tome to Principie!
