I appreciate the general approach but I’d like to emphasise that there were no shampoo, toothpaste, etc. only two pieces of soap.
Also I didn’t like that the room included two small beds instead of the big one. They just set it together and presented as a big one.

Lviv has so much cultural heritage that words hardly do it justice. It was under Polish, Habsburg and Soviet rule before rejoining Ukraine, and all have left dramatic marks. No fewer than 5 cathedrals grace cobbled streets with attractive parks and elegant buildings worthy of Vienna.
Potocki Palace is a grand former nobleman’s home and the Palace of Siemienski-Lewickis is equally impressive. Kornyakt Palace is a Renaissance jewel that became a royal residence, and the Ensemble of Ruska Street is an eclectic collection of buildings contributing to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic centre.
Lviv University is Ukraine’s oldest and was part of an intellectual circle attracting immigrants which earned the city the nickname of ‘Little Paris’. Shevchenka Avenue is named after Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko and a statue of him sits on a square housing the celebrated Lviv Theatre of Opera and Ballet and Lviv National Museum.
The town hall on Market Square is surrounded by colourful buildings housing shops and cafes, and the castle ruins overlook all of this from High Castle Park.
This is just a snapshot of what the city offers and Booking.com’s great accommodation range helps you discover this and more. The luxury city centre hotels, cheap hostels and apartments near Arena Lviv Euro 2012 football stadium are all easily accessible from the airport.

Despite the challenging situation, Lviv still has a lot to offer to visitors, the cuisine, attractions and architecture, opportunities for exciting excursions to nature and historic attractions nearby. Visitors should heed the official advice and come prepared for some inconveniences and challenges associated with the current situation as the curfew, possible power interruptions, absence of air connections and such.

ANCIENT architecture evokes romantic thoughts.
ANCIENT architecture evokes romantic thoughts. Along with this, there are many parks and green areas, where in the summer you can hide from the heat in the coolness. It often rains in autumn. Many lights of the city are reflected in the puddles. The buildings are illuminated in the dark, which gives the cityscape a fairy-tale feel. Cozy little cobblestone streets with many cafes, the smell of coffee...
And also many sculptures decorate ancient houses and temples.

Beautiful streets and architecture. bunch of restaurants and cafes if you love to eat. Historical landmarks and location.
I don't think I dislike something in Lviv; this is one of my favorite cities. Only parking can bother you if you decide to center by personal vehicles.

I was in Lviv for 3 days .
I was in Lviv for 3 days . Thanks to a walking tour by guide Diana , I was able to get to know the historic Old Town City centre with an understanding of the shared history between Poles and Ukrainian’s . Besides the old town I see some of the WW2 Jewish Ghetto area, the Holocaust museum and former KGB prison. Though life is going on as normal , due to the war and ongoing conflict , there is the risk of air raid alerts and power cuts. But none occurred during my visit. The train and bus stations are some way from the city centre. But the No 1 tram went from the station square direct to the Old Town.

A city in Western Ukraine but one that is very reminiscent of other cities of Central Europe of the former Hapsburg Empire. This is very evident on architecture and church buildings. Very many cafes and bars . Buy a Leo card to use the tram transport. I liked the weekend Sunday markets with many things to buy as presents. Many interesting museums with at least two that dealt with tragic events of World War Two and the periods of Nazi and Soviet occupation. The city like others across Ukraine is affected by the war but there were no power cuts while I was there in September 2024.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Lviv
Despite such a difficult situation in Ukraine, everyone is trying to make the foreigner feel good. Fantastic hotel service. At 2 o'clock in the morning, a receptionist waited for me to open the door and give my room key. The hotel was clean and well kept. And the restaurant serves great breakfasts and lunches. I belive the war ends soon and that tourists return to Lviv. The city is ready to receive them.
We are loyal customers of Astoria for second year. There is the reason behind. It is absolutely amazing staff. This time special compliments for Yurii - front desk administrator who showed exceptional attention, recognized us as loyal clients, and provided exceptional service. Lived in 5 star hotels and honestly, Astoria has 5 star team. Loved and will stay again and again.
Staff are very friendly, and it is cheap hotel. location is ok, opp. I. Franko park, and not far from the centre. There is a small kitchen with a proper sink, and the Wi-Fi is reliable.
