The historic Route 66 district was very charming. We found a antique shop and a bunch of interesting things. The Big Texan ranch offers their famous steaks and good brewery. A nice scenic city with lots to do. We went to the botanical garden; I highly recommend that, as it is low-cost, and a nice walk. The city also has a multitude of steak houses, as expected for a city in Texas. We ate at the Saltgrass steakhouse. It was delicious.REGINA - Scored 8.08.0

You have to understand Amarillo before arriving there.
You have to understand Amarillo before arriving there. This is an oil town so that's how this city will smell. It was very apparent as we walked in the city. Outside of that, the people were very friendly and the Mayor even came out to visit us and express his thanks for our group visiting Amarillo.
