I was there for work. Didn’t do any “fun stuff”. Louisiana is a beautiful state, Baton Rouge is a beautiful city - I’ve been there many times, but the overriding factor is TRAFFIC! I work many of the big cities in the South from Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, etc. None compare to the nightmare of getting around in Baton Rouge.

We enjoyed the time we had outside of the horrible experience with our hotel (Comfort Inn) when we first arrived and had to leave it less than an hour after we checked in! I would not recommend the Comfort Inn by the Airport! We had to find another hotel with clean bed linens, floors, working phone and WiFi and we did not feel safe there!!! Wish I would have had more time to explore. There were so many options for good food. The few I tried did not disappoint. Just driving around I saw so many beautiful spots I want to return to. Did stop by the mall and was not impressed. But you don't travel to visit the mall. Found a great park to take my kid, and it was so nice and shaded by big trees.

Horrible, from the front desk clerk to the room, which had used feminine products left in the room along with the filters setting out not in the air condition. I requested to have my family on the same floor, but we were placed on different floors. What a horrible experience. Upon traveling for ten hours, the front desk clerk was not friendly and acted as though we were disturbing her by listening to her music on her headset; yes, she was wearing a headset, but she just laid my credit card on the without saying anything to me. I could walk away without knowing my credit card was on the corner if I didn't look down. What is happening to customer service today? If they do not want to work, let them go, please. Hire someone who will work.

Everyone was friendly and the hotel was clean and the elevators were mopped and cleaned regularly and it smelled very fresh every time I rode the elevator.
