We took the hop-on, hop-off bus tour on the first day of our visit and that was great. It gave us an overview of places to visit. The people were friendly. Prices were a bit expensive, but that's traveling these days. Traffic on the highways was super busy at rush hour and some of the drivers were super fast.

I only spent two nights there, mainly to get my wife and her friend onto a Royal Caribbean trip that they had planned. But for me, Miami was far too busy, traffic is horrendous, the roads cause people to be for ever changing lanes, but I must admit 96% of the drivers in Miami are very patient and courteous in traffic. The other 4% are mad - speeding along the shoulder lane of highways when everybody else is obeying the traffic rules and then you get these morons doing crazy stuff. Had I been in my own vehicle, and not a rental, I would have blocked those drivers from passing on the shoulder. there is also so little in the way of parking. The hotel my wife and her friend were staying in, the Cadillac something on Miami Beach, had absolutely no parking unless you wanted to pay valet parking of $50. Thank goodness for Google Maps and Apple maps that could talk me through all the crazy roads traffic. And forget the Keys - we all thought they were way too hyped up. Just nothing much at all to see, cannot get to the shore because every inch is populated with houses that give no access to the beach. We did find the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park which gave us access to the shoreline. It was pleasant enough, but there were not little restaurants to get a coffee or a bite to eat. This was on Key Largo. Miami is way too expensive in all aspects and would not go back there other than to pick up my wife and her friend at the end of the cruise.

We went to Miami to get away from the British winter and it was a perfect choice. The temperatures in February were around 27 degrees, not too hot and even around 23 degrees in the evening, so lounging in the many restaurant bars in t-shirt was relaxing well into the late hours. We visited the beach but found few public toilets and changing rooms, and hiring beds was expensive. Overall Miami was as expensive as London, except the out of town outlet stores (Sawgrass) where we picked up a lot of cheaper branded clothes than UK prices. Overall we chose Miami for sun and relaxing but didn't do a lot else. But we loved it and will go again.

Miami and the south eastern area are a loved regular (every 5 to 7 weeks) business destination for me coming from New York City. The area is great for acquiring lands for residential homes, and private home ownership.

A very expensive place to stay, eat and drink.
A very expensive place to stay, eat and drink. Taxes, service charges (20%) on everything.
Free transportation in city centre on monorail is good.
Availability of Ubers is excellent, always very quick to arrive and fairly priced, not like the taxis.
Miami Beach well worth a few days.
City Bus tour and Everglades tour were both good.
Little Havanna worth a few hours visit.

Miami is a beautiful area near the Bayfront shopping area with areas to eat, and music and shopping. It can be noisy but you're never bored. It's close to the Port of Miami where I took three cruises starting Dec 29 to Jan 25, staying in Miami before, mid and after. I stayed in hotels, and private residences via Booking.com. I did notice some homeless people and some sidewalks were not clean. The noisy race cars should be fined as they were driving in a 30 MPH road very fast. I would return though to Miami.

Our plan was to stay at the Hampton near the airport for one night and then stay at a hotel on South Beach the next day, but we were so impressed with the friendly shuttle bus driver and the courteous front desk staff that we decided to use the Hampton as our starting point throughout our stay in Miami.
The room was very spacious and nice.
I told the front desk staff that the electric curtains were not working and the person in charge fixed them immediately.
First of all big thanks for the kindness, helpful and great Staff of Hotel especially as named of following persons: to Miriam, to Adriana, and to Alejandro 🙂 Everything was perfect. Location was perfect because each important things like Airport, Dolphin Outlet, Macy’s, big Malls, Target, Miami Beach were very closed to the Hotel. We also like the Valet Parkong service of the Car. It was amazing too🙂
Hotel/Rooms very clean. Beds comfy. We had the best nights sleep here. Pool area nice. Location great and free parking. South beach etc all close by 20 min drive. Taxi only cost $18 to south beach. Cleaner was lovely, even though its stated rooms are cleaned every 3rd day, she always knocked with clean towels etc and asked if we needed anything.
It’s a great location based on planning of my trip and has cheaper transportation option to get to Miami Beach near the hotel.
I was traveling alone abroad and my first time in Miami. So, I am very grateful to the shuttle driver (sorry I didn’t get your name) who directed me to the right place to get to where I wanted to.
Amazing and super clean apartment just like the photo showed!! We had a fantastic experience in Alan’s place, he is very responsive during our whole stay. I will definitely recommend it as the place for couples to live in Miami since the hotel in Miami Beach is way too much expensive.
