This was my second stay at Abomey events. The previous time, just a few days earlier, I loved everything except for when it was time to check out, when it took over 45 minutes to pay above what was quoted on Booking.com. I figured that check out should be smoother the second time around because everyone would have figured everything out. So, this time around, I met with familiar faces who were again so kind to me. Again, the room was excellent (clean, spacious, wonderful air conditioning, great shower with excellent water pressure and even hot water, comfortable bed). Breakfast was exactly the same as the previous mornings: onion and pepper omelet with bread, instant coffee, tea, juice.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this hotel! Its location near the airport, combined with stunning sea views, made it both convenient and relaxing. The pool was fantastic—clean, well-maintained, and a great spot to unwind. The staff were outstanding—welcoming, always smiling, and incredibly helpful. A special thank you to Carol and Ragu, who went above and beyond to ensure we had delicious vegan meals prepared throughout our stay. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly made our experience unforgettable. The rooms were very comfortable, with cozy beds that guaranteed a great night’s sleep. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. We can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for convenience, comfort, and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!

Tahiti Hotel erbjuder 3-stjärnigt boende vid stranden i Cotonou och har utomhuspool, trädgård och terrass. Boendet har en bar samt en restaurang som serverar amerikanska rätter. The staff is just amazing, Marco and son are super nice and helpful. The location is great little off the center which is a plus - you can relax here. The WiFi works very good. The breakfast is just fine. Right on the beach, you can enjoy looking at the sea. The staff speaks French and the owners multiple languages so you will have very good contact. Probably the best value in the city. I was three days and prolonged to 6 days it was so good. I will remember this place and the people working in it. Great words re the staff, all ladies are very cool and always smiling. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Recommended for all kind of travellers.

Hotel Du Lac ligger i Cotonou, 42 km från Ouidahs historiska museum, och erbjuder boende med en utomhuspool, gratis privat parkering, ett fitnesscenter och en trädgård. Everything went very well. This is the third time I have come to the Hôtel du Lac, and I have never been disappointed, the hotel meets my expectations. I particularly appreciate the kindness and help of the staff, the breakfast, the swimming pool and the shuttle service to/from the airport.

RESIDENCE MGA HOTEL är ett 4-stjärnigt boende som ligger i Ouidah. Boendet är rökfritt och ligger 3,4 km från Ouidahs historiska museum. Our stay at MGA Residence in Ouidah had its positives but also a few challenges. The rooms were spacious and very clean, though slightly dark due to limited natural light from smaller windows. Set within a mall complex, the property has a cozy feel, though the surrounding structure gives the plot a more enclosed atmosphere. Dining at MGA Residence is a notable experience, as the hotel has been praised for its food. The bar and restaurant are the only outdoor seating areas available, offering a relaxing atmosphere, although we did encounter some differences in the menu expectations. For example, the "grilled fillet" arrived as meat sliced on skewers and cooked differently than anticipated. The fish, however, was fresh and well-prepared, a nice highlight for seafood lovers. The breakfast setup is worth mentioning, as it’s included for only one person per room. The basic breakfast offering consists of small pieces of bread, jam, tea, and instant coffee—simple but sufficient. A key inconvenience we encountered was that the hotel did not accept credit card payments, as the machine was reportedly out for repairs. Fortunately, they accepted cash in U.S. dollars. Finally, the staff was friendly and accommodating, eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Overall, I would recommend MGA Residence as a comfortable option in Ouidah.
