We could not have been more delighted with this gem of a small boutique hotel on the shore of magnificent Lake Kivu. All the rooms have spectacular views of the lake from the room terrace. The inn is new, sleek, and elegant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Dining area is beautiful, both inside and on the deck overlooking the lake, and the food is delicious, with some local fare including fresh from the clean lake tilapia, grilled whole or filleted, and European cuisine. The setting is a lush garden filled with birds. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Activities include resting, of course, and soaking in the natural beauty, but also walking, swimming, birding, and guided boat tours of several of the islands among 400+ in the 140 mile long lake. Highly recommended, we hope to return!

This is such a great location and place to stay. The staff was so amazing, supportive and friendly all the time. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. They always try their best to make us feel comfortable and help to answer all of our questions. The management team is very responsive. They even helped to recommend tour agencies and drivers when we were planning our itineraries. The resort is helping women to get quality job. The resort is very close to the headquarter of Volcanoes National Park, just a 20 minutes drive, so we get to prepare our activities in the Park with ease. The kitchen of the hotel is pretty nice too, as a vegan, they provide me a lot of options.
