Staff all speak English and are exceptionally warm and helpful. Free shuttle bus to and from airport. Taxis and mikrolets stop right in front of the hotel. I plan on staying here on my next trip to Dili. Only other competing hotel is the Hilton when it opens, but that surrounding neighborhood is not wonderful and has few if any restaurants or shops.

Everyone at the hotel is so polite and hard working. Communication for airport pickup is responsive. Driver, double as tour guide, is outstanding. Hotel has an excellent restaurant (closed on Sunday), and a cafe (closed on Tuesday) next door. There’s also a very good and budget friendly Chinese restaurant 50 steps away, with a menu thick as a phone book. You will never go hungry staying here. Now the most important issue to me, and for many others, is the notorious internet connection in Dili. Well, they seem to have it fixed as the country is working hard to cater to international tourism. Many new constructions and modern hotels are being built (with Chinese investment). The internet is as fast and reliable as that at Hilton in Bali. It’s a total surprise! I totally recommend this hotel!

The rooms themselves are modern, very clean and wonderfully decorated, whilst being surrounded by elements of the fort. The pool was an absolute highlight, with wonderful views of the local mountain ranges. The food was excellent, and there is a huge breakfast. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, it was so lovely to see so many young people getting experience in hospitality. The hotel is in very close proximity to the Australian Flag House/Museum, and there is a wonderfully kept museum onsite at the entrance gateway, with a broader focus on Timor Leste's history.
