It’s walkable to the lake, the shopping areas, with busses passing in front of the hotel. The rooms were clean and roomy with a balcony that is high-up that you see the whole town and mountains and are beautiful at night. Bathroom is clean. Breakfast in the morning is typical of the area but the fresh coffee is good, shout-out to Claudio, he is a gem and very attentive.

Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated. The location was excellent, walking distance to the main train station. We had a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. The hotel gave us free city bus tickets to use for our stay! Also, the breakfast was great for us and had a beautiful view.

This family-owned hotel is centrally located just a short walk from Lugano town centre and its breathtaking lakeshore, and the famous Piazza Riforma with its many sidewalk cafés. Great location right next to the Lugano Main Station. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was great and spacious with a great view. Would recommend!!!

Right on the shore of Lake Lugano, the 3-star superior International au Lac Historic Lakeside Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden with an outdoor pool, free WiFi, and a lobby bar. Beautiful well maintained gardens that we and the kids enjoyed. I would have stayed longer! Location is perfect and the rooms are both modern and historic. The balcony on the streets are a nice extra. Breakfast had many options and servers were friendly.
