This hotel is Germany’s oldest guesthouse and is located right in the Old Town of Freiburg in the beautiful area between the Schwabentor (Swabian gate) and the cathedral. We really enjoyed this hotel!! It exceeded our expectations. All of the rooms were very nice and clean. The service was excellent. We especially enjoyed the wonderful breakfast we had every morning. It was the best breakfast of our entire trip. The hotel is centrally located and the parking for the car was easy to get to. Overall we highly recommend this hotel.

Situated on the edge of the pedestrian area, this family-run hotel provides the ideal base for exploring the historical highlights of Freiburg. WiFi is free for guests. The hotel is located in the old town. This is the perfect place to stay in Freiburg - near shops, cafes, restaurants and very cute streets. The staff was very polite. The breakfast was amazing. Thank you!

This hotel lies in the heart of Freiburg, directly at the cathedral square. You enter the hotel through the restaurant, small but convenient. Great location right opposite the cathedral. Room small but adequate and very quiet. Not bothered by the church bells. Parking is offsite but convenient. Staff helpful. Would stay here again if we return to Freiburg.

Central location. Lovely breakfast, great choice, friendly helpful staff Parking spaces outside the door of in the underneath garage.

Location Location location!!! Staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a cute hotel and decorated like from the 1800's. Right in the center, walking distance to many tourist places and cathedral.

The family-run Gasthaus Löwen is situated conveniently in the Old Town of Freiburg im Breisgau, 100 metres from the Freiburg Minster. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Location is superb, sited between Schwabentor and Munsterplatz. Restarurant is good, breakfast buffet is really good.

Hotel & Restaurant Sichelschmiede is attractively situated in Freiburg im Breisgau, and has a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. Full of character, comfortable, very friendly staff. We really enjoyed the restaurant too. Good location in the old town.
