Located in the heart of Stuttgart’s Bad Cannstatt district, the family run Hotel Spahr offers 24-hour reception and classic rooms. It is 6 km to the Schloßplatz square in the city centre. We spent one night in this hotel, we were pleasantly surprised when entering the room: very spacious, with a balcony, a sofa, a coffee table and a desk. But the real surprise was the bathroom, enormous, with heated floor, two sinks, a large cabinet and bathtub. The furniture was dated but in excellent condition, the wooden paneled walls, even in the bathroom, made us feel a bit like travelling back in time. I loved it!! Breakfast was various and well presented, in a lovely dining room.

Boasting a garden, terrace and free WiFi, Cannstatter Hotel is set in Stuttgart, 700 metres from Cannstatter Wasen and 1.3 km from Porsche-Arena. The beds were very comfortable, the place was very clean and tidy, and although it's practically over the road from a train station, it was peaceful and not at all difficult to sleep. And the staff were very friendly - I had a problem with the check in and was frustrated but one of the staff members came to help and was very helpful. I also liked the location - it was just down the road from where i was going to an event which was very convenient.
