Standing tall in the heart of Solo City, Alila Solo boasts a high-floor outdoor swimming pool, a rooftop bar, and a luxury spa centre. I have stayed for 2 nights, this is an extension stay. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast is superb with a lot of variation. With the staff helping to serve , it helps to reduce food wastage. As mentioned, the pancakes is the best, so soft and tasty, so good that it reminds me of Singapore's McDonald. Well done.

I particularly like the location. My room was fabulous. nice large, suite with a kitchenette. The breakfast buffet is huge with so many varieties of food. I am vegan and I there were plenty of delicious options for me. The General Manager really cares about the comfort of the hotel guests. He walks around the restaurant in the morning visiting the tables too make sure his guests are happy with their stay and to offer tips for sites to see in Solo. I highly recommend Aston Solo and will stay here again.

Attractively set in the Slamet Riyadi Street district of Solo, De Solo Boutique Hotel is situated 700 metres from Radya Pustaka Museum, 5.2 km from The Park Solo and 48 km from Prambanan Temple. I stayed at the De Solo Boutique hotel for two nights during my stay in Solo. I found the location was exceptional within easy walking distance to many attractions and good places to eat. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included and was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was also a pleasure to meet the owner during my stay. I will return here to stay during my next visit to Solo. I recommend this hotel as it is good value for what you pay to stay here.

They offered to give us different room when we decided to leave. We were just so disappointed that we did not have any aspiration to stay there anymore.

The rooms at the Hotel Diamond are nowhere nearly as splashy as the front of the building would indicate. They have definitely seen better days, but they are pretty private and clean, with enough space to pack away your things, a decent desk, bathroom, working wifi and AC. The AC may not be great in one room, but it's worth checking another room for a newer outlet. This hotel is good if there aren't too many guests, but with a large group, it's bound to be noisy, and the rooms full of cigarette smoke. There is not a lot around the hotel, but that said, you are a leisurely half hour walk to the core of the town where the palaces are located, along a roadway that is easy to navigate, with lots of restaurants, cafes, facilities, and shopping on the way. The ability to walk easily is a big bonus, considering what Indonesian cities can be like. There is English-speaking staff at the front desk, which is a huge bonus. They are fairly helpful, which is great!
