Boasting a shared lounge, a terrace as well as a bar, Grand Hotel D'Europe is set in the centre of Puducherry, 300 metres from Promenade Beach. We arrived at the facility pretty much on time and our room was ready. This is a heritage property and about 135 years old. Yet it was well built and had an outstanding neatness to it. The room was quite big for the 3 of us. There was a changing room next to the attached bathroom. We also had a personal balcony. Despite of the extreme hot weather outside the 2 Airco unit outlets kept the room very cool. Food at the restaurant downstairs was very delicious and had quite variety of cuisines. I personally liked the Pizzas. At the breakfast there were a wide variety of fruits to choose from along with many other delicacies. The location of the hotel was very close to the beach. Staff were very friendly and catered to our every single need. Mr. Rajesh, the GM at the facility provided personal attention to our needs and was a very friendly person to talk to. The cherry on top was the small swimming pool where we spent hours enjoying a cool break from the hot weather.

Love the room with the balcony I think it’s the largest one, and it’s my 3rd time here. Very very good staff and hospitality and the food is superb. Good location too. My go to place in pondi, would not pick any other space in the city but this.

Located in the old French town along Suffren Street, Villa Shanti is just a 3-minute walk from the famous Promenade Beach. The location is good. Spotless clean room. I was traveling with my one year old and I had requested the hotel to thoroughly clean the room prior to arrival. The public was spic and span. The hotel is very well maintained. The chef had made excellent baby food for my son. The staff is very helpful and highly professional. I do not remember names but all of them were so cordial and warm.

Everything is at the right place and all facilities available. Absolutely loved everything Ramesh the manager has been very cordial and made us extremely comfortable.
