Getting tickets to Hirayu no Mori onsen was amazing. The staff was very nice and kindly let us sit in the common area until check in. They also held luggage for us, which I appreciate very much. The onsen itself in the hotel was also very great. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. It is an experience we will treasure forever. The staff was so lovely, friendly and helpful. The traditional baths and the outdoor hot springs overlooking the mountains and a rushing river - everything we ever dreamed of! Spacious room for a family of five. Super clean. The tasting menu evening and breakfast were just such an amazing japanese experience. The staff so helpful explaining to us what they served - and how to eat it 😁. We loved it!!!

This is the perfect retreat hotel in the mountains. Old style Japanese ryokan with the friendliest staff. Food was amazing. The rooms are huge! And we had both western beds and futons! The outside onsen is such a delight and you can relax in it under the stars. It’s out of the way so a bit tricky to get to with public transport but that’s what we wanted for a trip to the mountains.

We went around November so in the midst of autumn foliage, just an hour drive from takyama. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast included, Japanese kaiseki and the amount of food didn't disappoint. The in -hous private insensitive were great and you got another outdoor private insensitive 4 minutes walk. Public onsen is also available . The bed was really comfy, and the whole place is very retro. We took the 3 room ryokan

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. We have traveled hundreds of hotels as a family. This resort was the best of them all. The staff attention to details and hospitality was spectacular. The evening meal and breakfast was really tasty and inspiring. They made sure that our stay will be as perfect and welcoming since the moment we got there until the moment they drove us to the bus. It felt like they see all our needs and care about every detail.
