A 10-minute walk from the beach, Casa Mara Dakar offers 24-hour reception, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden with a sun terrace and Wi-Fi is free of charge in public areas. I would recommend this place for anyone to stay at. The staff were exceptionally helpful especially for me as an English speaker. They went above and beyond to help me get cabs and navigate the city. The rooftop restaurant has a really nice vibe and the food is good and reasonably priced. My room was clean with great air conditioning. The room was fully enclosed, so no bugs and the hot water was great. Breakfast included with the price of the room was good with a fair amount of food options. I felt safe and wasn't concerned about my belongings when I left. They have a beautiful courtyard in the centre of the building and I woke up to the most beautiful sounds of birds singing in the trees. My only disappointment was that I couldn't stay at casa mara for my whole trip as they were fully booked. Just a note that they do not accept credit card for payment. They like to receive payment in XOF. If you have a busy work schedule, it is better to change your money at the airport before arriving to the hotel if you won't have extra time (the rates were comparable to on the street). Going to the bank to change money was time consuming!

I liked the way the reception staff behaved towards the clients. They were respectful, kind, helpful in particular one I want to mention. Her name is Augustine. She always available and everywhere to assist any client. I am delighted to stay in that hotel for 6 nights.

Very spacious room with big comfortable bed. Clean. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood of Dakar. It felt safe. The man who works there is very nice and helpful! The owner always replied quick to our questions by message. We took the private shuttle from the airport that she suggested, that was a good option to get to the place quick and easy.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Waypoint Suites in Dakar, and I can’t say enough good things about my experience. The hosts were truly exceptional—loving and caring, they made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail were evident throughout my stay. Swift response to my request and anything I want or having issues with. The whole staffs, they took me like family. The manager Salif is a kind, caring, and loving man, took us for a drive around the city in his personal car, took us to the market, bought lunch for us, introduced us to his son, and even showed us where he lives. I have traveled to different cities and countries I must say no one has ever done this or shown this type of care towards me. The accommodation was comfortable and inviting, and the local tips they provided helped me explore the city like a local. I even walk the streets, I felt safe and welcomed, and I genuinely appreciated their kindness. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Dakar with hosts who treat you like family, look no further.
