The effort to get there from Filandia involved two jeep rides, but we are glad we got off the beaten track. Once at the hotel transportation to town was easy. In addition there were frequent buses to a trailhead which accessed a number of waterfalls. Plus the hosts were very hospitable and shared valuable information. We will return.

Extremely hospitable and helpful hosts who connected us to a great guide (Alejandro) who took us to Los Nevados national park. The flower garden with views of the Andean foothills is very pleasant and the hammock patio that surrounds the house is a great place to relax. If you want a place to stay that feels like you're welcomed into a nice rural home then this is a great option. There is also a pair of modest outdoor bar/restaurants a short walk away for watching the sunset or looking at the lights of Manizales.

Beautiful landscape, birds and hummingbirds around the place. Jorge and Carolina are true professionals with a huge knowledge and you can ask them anything related to the Coffee traditions.

From the moment you arrive you feel at home. Don Ricardo and Doña Claudia are warm and kind people, making sure you enjoy your time. The place has really friendly and cheerful dogs and other animals. Don Ricardo usually organizes trekkings in the nature with the dogs, really recommended! One of the best places I have ever been.

Hotels in a beautiful area the staff is nice and the food there is excellent. They have air conditioning only in a few rooms, thank God cuz it's very hot there. Showers only have cold water but that's fine because it's hot outside. Did a boat tour on the lake to waterfalls swimming areas great way to spend the day. Definitely recommend this place for a visit for a few days. Also like the swimming pool was excellent.

An absolutely amazing, cozy ranch on the hill eyeing the very center of Salento. The location could not be better as it's just 5 min away from the main street but it still feels like the countryside. Morning there are breathless! The breakfast from the homegrown eggs were just spectacular!

It was a simple room and a little crowded, but we had five people staying in three beds and it is understandable. The grounds were very nice with a good pool and restaurant area. Some other guests were having a 15th birthday party for a girl (a significant event in Colombia) and kindly invited me to join them - I had a nice punch and piece of cake. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Colombian's are some of the most accommodating and gracious people I've encountered in my travels to 60 countries.
