Boasting a garden and views of inner courtyard, Fernweh Harz is a guest house set in a historic building in Seesen, 25 km from Imperial Palace. Location is great, a couple of minutes from the Autobahn and at the same time, very quiet. Keys are available to be picked up independently, I basically did not see the staff / owners. Same for the breakfast which had a good variety of food.

Pension Drei Elstern, a property with a terrace, is located in Schierke, 18 km from Town Hall Wernigerode, 18 km from Culture & Congress Centre Wernigerode, as well as 19 km from Train Station... Our stay at Pension Drei Elstern was the highlight of our trip to the Harz area. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff was attentive, efficient, and friendly. The location is only a short walk from the Harz Railway station at Schierke. The hotel is quiet, and is only a few steps away from several local restaurants. Hiking in the area is very good. In short, we'd like to stay again one day.

Set in Zorge, 19 km from Harz National Park, Vor lauter Bäumen B&B features accommodation with a hot tub and wellness packages. We were warmly met by Sebastian and Eline, they were very kind to show us everything we needed. The suite was very warm and clean and all utilities were working just fine. There were always enough hot water and the kitchen was fully equipped and had everything for a short stay. The breakfast was very good and tasty. I found it very nice that every guest could set up an own breakfast time. Everything had a spicial touch and charm. The location is a very nice village between mountains. Hiking routes of various lengths are starting just from it. So nice that the disaster killing trees on Harz mountains didn't get there. The sauna and jacuzzi for extra 40€ is absolutely the top. The nearby water stream and of course the trees are quite loud (just as the place's name states) but it didn't irritate us and the windows are completely canceling the noise if you wish. The check-in and check-out process was uncomplicated and on the check-in we received guest cards providing free bus rides and discounts in many establishments of the region.

Set in Blankenburg in the Saxony-Anhalt region, KleineAuszeit offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. The apartment was perfect - the size, the living room, the kitchen (including the appliances), the bedroom and the sauna! It is the coziest apartment ever! When you are inside, you feel like home!!! Everything exceeded our expectations! The location was great for our needs! For sure we will come back!

Featuring mountain views, Pension Goldbachmühle offers accommodation with balcony, around 4.3 km from Monastery Michaelstein. This was the best stay we ever had. A big and clean appartment, a beautiful surrounding, and the most welcoming hosts you can imagine, Jacqueline and Gregor. And than this breakfast. To die for, and prepared with so much love. What a joy. We came as guests, and we left as friends

Situated within 6.8 km of Hexentanzplatz, Friedrichsbrunn and 6.8 km of Hexentanzplatz, Thale in Friedrichsbrunn, Harz Pension provides accommodation with seating area. We felt so welcomed, got fantastic recommendations, and were invited to a local town event--and once we showed up, she spotted us and went out of her way to greet us and ensure we felt included. Honest, helpful, accommodating; I can't say enough good things about the way the place was run. Our dogs were calm and comfortable despite at times being nervous travellers. Also, this is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed.

Located within 4.8 km of Monastery Michaelstein and 14 km of Hexentanzplatz, Friedrichsbrunn in Blankenburg, Feriendomizil Schlossblick provides accommodation with seating area. Mrs and Mr Durwen are extremely kind and caring people. The room I rented reflects their sense of warmth and hospitality. Certainly worth the stay if you are in Blankenburg (and do ask about the castle…).

Located in Quedlinburg within 500 metres of Old Town Quedlinburg and 800 metres of Collegiate Church St. Servatius, Hotel garni Tilia provides rooms with free WiFi. We loved the whole place, charming, quiet, very clean. The team explained us very well for the check in, were friendly, the place is perfectly well located, 10 min walking from the train station and close to everything in Quedlinburg. We could sleep very well and we would definitely come back! Breakfast was included in what we paid, was complete :)

DAS TANN rooms & wine is set in Thale, 6.9 km from Hexentanzplatz, Friedrichsbrunn, 7 km from Hexentanzplatz, Thale, and 7.4 km from Harzer Bergtheater. Large room and comfortable bed. Easy parking. The staff are very helpful and friendly and breakfast is good. The food in the evening was exceptional and better than many top class restaurants.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Villa Pusteblume is located in Bad Grund, 27 km from Imperial Palace and 34 km from Train Station Bad Harzburg. Everything was absolutely perfect. Extremely helpful host, who also spoke English. The accommodation is very spacious, nicely decorated and has everything you could want. The location is quiet, with a large garden and plenty of parking space. This is the best accommodation of its type I have stayed in from this site.
