The location was rustic but everything seemed very new or renovated. The quasi-private onsen (shared between other people in the house) was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were also spacious with AC/heater, and a pretty comfy bed. The owner was also extremely friendly and prepared for us some amazing meals.

Japanese old folk Guest House - GAMP HOUSE ligger i Iwaki og har rolig gadeudsigt, indkvartering og have. This was my favorite stay during my trip! Surrounded by the countryside, this 280 years old house has all the charms of its age, but still reasonably modern amenities. The staff is especially friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And you can get amazing home-cooked meals too! If you want to go out of the beaten path and explore the rural side of Japan, this is absolutely the best place!

Set in Soma and only 49 km from Zuihoden, ゲストハウス アンブレラ offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The house is cozy and the location pretty, with a lovely view over rice paddies. The highlight, however, were the hosts. Rarely have I been in an accommodation in which I felt so welcomed and received such special treatment. We shared food, drinks and interesting conversations together! They also have a farm and vegetable shop nearby, so we enjoyed their delicious produce, including organic eggs. This is a countryside stay, recommended for those who want to a true local experience.

The building is comfortable, the onsen is great to relax, and the food is so fresh and tasty… highly recommend!

Country Inn Mori no Gorilla ligger i Kitashiobara, 22 km fra Mount Bandai, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, bar og ski til dør-adgang. Unique and lovely place to stay. Owners were so kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. We are so glad we stayed there instead of hotel for the last night of our trip. Such a lovely and enjoyable experience!

The facility was really up to date and the bed was comfortable as well. The staff was made of some of the best people I've met in Japan, they spoke English very well and they were really welcoming and fun to talk to. The position wasn't bad either.
