The owner and host is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and enthusiastically knowledgeable about both the history of the house and its famous former owner (and designer of the house) and of the City of Viseu itself. Our room was large, comfortable, and quiet, and our breakfast was excellent. The walk to the older central part of the city was reasonably short and a small price to pay for having free, onsite parking.
