Rooms are quiet and nice. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast served in a basket brought to the room.

It is very beautiful and cozy guest house! You can feel that they are very service minded: very friendly and sweet host, amazing common area where they offer coffee, tea, and fruit. Rooms have everything you need (including a mini fridge). We need an iron and ironing board and requested it in advance - it was there when we arrived. If you would like to buy some food and bring it in, they also offer plates and cutlery, and have microwave to heat it up. Very good location: it has cafe and restaurants nearby and it is easy to walk to the city center.

Marina Charming House offers accommodation in the heart of Figueira da Foz, a 3-minute walk from Casino Figueira. The property boasts a terrace and views of the sea, the marina and the Mondego river. Booked the 4 bed room and was lovely and spacious---it does have a large french door overlooking the patio The 2 ladies running the place were fabulous and friendly. Breakfasts were spectacular with individually cooked eggs and bacon. Very clean place, short walk from the seafront and promenade, Straight walk from Train/bus station along seafront

Located in Coimbra in the Centro region, Cantinho da Susana features a terrace and quiet street views. Susana was an amazing host, and little Arya too! They both warmly welcomed us with a wide smile, alongside some cute gifts, a cool Praxis beer and many treats for our dog... and a puppy bed that served as a soft pillow. It's not easy to find amazing stays that are truly pet-friendly as well. Location-wise, it's walking distance from Coimbra's downtown though it might still be better to use a car since it's a bit of a climb. There's a supermarket, a few cafés, and most points-of-interest south-west of the river close-by. The room has it own entrance and a small patio, which is convenient (Susana lived upstairs), and it was very cozy and well decorated. While it does not have a kitchenet per-se, it actually felt more like an apartment, and would be great for shorter stays or those looking to eat out more often (the city has tons of great restaurants). The microwave and coffee-maker should fulfill most needs.

Set in Condeixa a Nova and only 13 km from Coimbra-A Train Station, Casa do Vale Vintém offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Beautiful property with lovely views

Located within 1.4 km of S. Sebastião Aqueduct and 1.3 km of University of Coimbra, Vila Julieta Guesthouse provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Coimbra. Sonia and Jonah were amazing hosts. We had a terrific stay at the Vila. They took time to welcome us, to provide us with useful information about how to get around, where you eat and what to do. Our room was very comfortable even though it was not the biggest. The bathroom was very nice and spacious. There was even a make-up mirror. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. Even for my wife who is wheat and dairy allergic. Many alternatives were available. The light in the room was very pleasant because it was not the usual white blinding light. Our room was overlooking a small garden and next to the breakfast room there was another bigger garden. The Vila is located only 10 minutes away by walking distance from the town center. By the way, Coimbra is a very lovely student town that we highly recommend to visit as much as to stay at Vila Julieta.
