All was great, but the most greatest thing is staff. This is the first hotel where you can be driven to the city centre for free just because of unlimited kindness of personal, especially, Filipe! Furthermore, during our stay my brother had strong allergic reaction and we didn’t have a medicine for that. Despite the late time and celebration of Christmas, Filipe drove us to farmacy, helped us to find a medicine and drove us back to hotel. We will not forget such happiness and extremely recommend visit this hotel!

Set in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao and 24 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon, The Rock Hostel offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The building was freshly renovated. Everything worked very well. The aircondition was very silent! The room was spacious. There was a small plunge pool, very handy.

Offering a rooftop pool and sea view, Olive Boutique Guesthouse is situated in Vila Franca do Campo, 400 metres from Praia do Corpo Santo and 500 metres from Praia da Vinha da Areia. We were a group of 8 ladies staying at Olive Boutique Guest house for one week. EVERYTHING was exceptional! All from contact before the stay with owner Susana, to the staff, the rooms, the decor, the pool facilities and location in the town on a calm street. Additionally the staff were incredibly friendly, warm hearted and they mastered the gift of making you feel right at home and taken care of with the best hotell service at the same time. They helped us with local recommendations, booking taxis and much more. Also we had many people with different allergies and dietary requests (gluten, dairy, vegetarian and vegan) in our group and the staff with Julia at the lead did an amazing job with serving breakfast options which made very one happy! Our stay met all our needs and wishes and exceeded every ones expectations. We can warmly recommend Olive Boutique Guest house and hope to be back soon!

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of sea, Solar de Santo André is a recently renovated guest house located in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao. Absolutely stunning mansion that is a bit like a museum but one you get to hang out in. Very comfortable room that was kept spotless and the staff was lovely. Breakfast was also excellent. There is a nice pool as well as a sauna that you can get them to heat up for you.

Located in Ponta Delgada, 8.5 km from Pico do Carvao, Vila Rosario provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Fairly new exceptionally clean apartment style villa. The owner was more than helpful answering questions and providing for our needs such as an early breakfast and information on restaurants. The room had adequate kitchen equipment to allow you to make easy meals. A large grocery store is a short distance away. The kitchen had a few basic herbs and spices that you could use. It was very quiet with a secure locked entrance after 5:00 that each guest had a remote to be able to enter.

Set 12 km from Pico do Carvao, DMCharme offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a water park. Daniel is a great and very helpful host who goes above and beyond to assist you with all questions you may have - very responsive during the whole stay and super friendly. The place is exactly as the pictures show it - a beautiful old house with a spirit, huge shared bathroom with very good water pressure, new air conditioner in the room that works very well. I found the location excellent - just opposite the house there's a laundry self service, and a great pizza place. In the place there's also a shared kitchen with everything you may need. WIfi worked very well for me as well. 10 out of 10 and will definitely choose that place if I return to PDL some day! Obrigada!

CITY STONE HOUSE in Ponta Delgada provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. We stayed for 2 nights at City Stonehouse in a room on the 2nd floor and loved it. The room is airy (high ceilings, big windows), spacious with wooden floors and very clean. The en-suite bathroom was extremely clean and very well equipped (multiple towels were offered to use but it was stored in a way that one could also save towels, refill soaps, hair dryer etc). The room itself was beautifully furnished - nice bedding, arm chair, hangers etc. and offered some refreshments and snacks :). Downstairs was an extremely well equipped kitchen with everything one needs to cook a delicious meal. Indoor as well as outdoor seating areas were inviting. The ground floor offers a living room with plenty of information about the island and tour possibilities. Luggage storage on our departure day was no problem at all. Check-In was as easy as it gets. The location is great - easy to reach from the airport, walking distance to the center, marina, parks, restaurants and shops. There are several car and scooter rentals close by. The biggest benefit of this accommodation is the wonderful host who spoils his guests by providing lots of information, answers all possible questions, sends out recommendations and makes sure one feels 100% relaxed on vacation. Pousada da Vila features air-conditioned guest accommodation in Vila Franca do Campo, 500 metres from Praia do Corpo Santo, 600 metres from Praia da Vinha da Areia and 1.2 km from Leopoldina Beach. Very well placed, quiet yet close to everything. Elisabeth was very accommodating, organised and nice. We had a great time! Free parking very close to the house, excellent food just around the corner, the beach within 5mn of walking. What’s not to like. Highly recommended!

Convenient location in São Roque, 20-30 min walk to Ponta Delgada downtown. Around 10 min walk to grocery store and some restaurants. Studio is quite small, but comfortable, very clean and well equipped. Kitchen is nice for preparing basic meals. The terrace is fantastic, overlooking the ocean and gets a lot of sun. Pool towels are great to take with you to hot springs.
