We had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great for a short walk to the city wall, Castle tower and many other sites. We would definitely recommend this property.

Hartoft St is an absolute gem of a place. Our group consisted of two adults and two kids and it was the perfect base for our trip to York. The location is ideal - 30 seconds walk to the river and a 15 minute walk into the heart of York along the river or by the main roads. Parking is available outside and we had no problem finding a space. The property itself has everything you need and we found it to be a truly welcoming and comfortable setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here.

There were two of us and we liked having separate bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen with coffee pods, tea, condiments, as well as a washing machine. Easy to warm up. Nice living space. Lovely comfy beds. Convenient to have a 2nd toilet. Lovely welcome goody basket. Note, parking is on the street but we had no problem getting a spot outside the property anytime.

Definitely recommend booking Brook Cottage if you’re in the area… it’s in a stunning location with wonderful views and yet still incredibly close to amenities, pubs, cafes and the Picturedrome. The attention to detail is fabulous and it’s clear the cottage has been lovingly renovated to deliver all the cosiness you’ll love, with a modern twist. We were particularly touched to see milk in the fridge and snacks in the cupboard, and the number of USB chargers around the place worked well for us too. The property is spotlessly clean and tidy as well as very tastefully decorated - a real home from home.
