Host - Jean Pierre - is the winning lottery ticket! Location, rooms, terrace on the top... everything was great. Delicious breakfast (and also dinner) is a big plus. We really enjoyed the atmosphere during the meals. This place definitely has a charm - we had a feeling that we come to a visit of an old friend. Maybe I will start learning French to be able to have a live chat with JP next time - without google translate :)

Situated within 1.6 km of Praia Da Laginha and less than 1 km of Torre de Belem, Casa Bom Dia features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Mindelo. We had the room on the roof top, with a private part of it in front of the room and acces to the rest of the rooftop. Very cosey and clean place with a magnificent view over Mindelo! The poussada is a little bit up the hill, but still in the city center. The breakfast was the best and we ate together with the other guests on the rooftop. Delicious bread and home made marmelades, fruits and scrumbled eggs etc. Host Sophie is a very kind and helpfull lady. We had a lovely time in Casa bom dia!

Offering a terrace and views of the sea, Maderal is set in Mindelo in the Sao Vicente Region. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms feature a seating area where you can relax. Very clean place with comfortable bed. Location is in a quiet area, about 20 mins walking distance from the ferry and 10 mins to the center. Filomena, the owner, is amazing!! We were only there for one night before our ferry to Santo Antão but when we went back to Sao Vicente she let us leave our luggage there while we explored the city and then let us take a shower!! Highly recommend!

Recanto Verde Cara is located on the seafront in Mindelo, 300 metres from Praia Da Laginha and 2 km from Torre de Belem. The location was fabulous.... Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach.... 10 minutes walk to the ferry terminal and 15mins walk to the city centre passed the beautiful marina. Umberto was a true gentleman, contact with him was outstanding, he sent me his number to WhatsApp, he was generous enough to pick me up from the ferry terminal when I arrived. Showed me around the area. Gave me key tips where to go what to eat etc. Arranged my taxi for a early flight and got me a discount. The property itself was far better than the photos. It's basically a very nice 3 bedroom apartment. However it spilt into 3 rooms. Double with private bathroom, and 2 twin rooms with a shared bathroom. The apartment is secure and on the 2nd floor. A outside locked gate, locked front door then a apartment door, plus a additional lock on your own private room. The apartment has a shared kitchen, you get your own cupboard with a key to get your rooms own dishes, pots and pans to use on the stove top and oven.large living area. Really great balcony with a view of th beach and mountains to watch the sunset. I stayed for 6 nights and if I was to return to mindelo I'd 100% return and stay again. The price was also unbelievable.
