We just finished our 4-day stay at Ruanmata Homestay and we wished we would have booked it for longer. The staff was incredibly friendly, the room was clean, and the every morning a different delicious breakfast. One day we left the accommodation very early and they even prepared a breakfast to go (without asking). I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

It was our first time staying in this part of Chiang Mai, south of the moat, and we were worried it wouldn't be central enough - and it may not be, if you are planning on walking everywhere. We had a motorbike, so this wasn't an issue. The place was very quiet, in a residential area but close to some local cafes and restaurants. The room was gorgeous - clean, nicely decorated, so well kept. They are eco-conscious, and clean weekly, but are always there if you need anything like extra towels, etc. There is the loveliest courtyard with free coffee, tea, etc., and you are free to use the space to cook. We were there for 10 days and really felt at home. They also offer a driving service to the airport for a small fee. Thank you so much!
