Surrounded by a large garden, Youthhostel Lugano features an outdoor pool with deckchairs and sunshades, as well as children’s playground and volleyball, badminton and table tennis facilities. I loved especially the location (the garden is wonderful)

Super nice people working there, very friendly and welcoming. Location is very convenient, surroundings are amazing, lots of outdoor space. Everything is extremely clean: beds, rooms, showers, bathrooms. Restaurant is excellent with very good food (I took pasta and it was very very good), they also offer local beers and small-scale wines...very nice place. Ah, and a lot of hiking in the surroundings...

Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore. Excellent breakfast with a very good muesli, tasty bread and cheese. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Set in the historical city centre of Bellinzona, Youth Hostel Bellinzona is just 500 metres from The Three Castles of Bellinzona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hostel serves a buffet breakfast. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. You cannot beat the location. The room was clean and actually very modern. I enjoyed being on top floor. The train track is right next to hotel and that’s the only minus for me. It was loud and woke me up all night but that’s not the hostel’s fault. I would definitely return.
