Situated in Kutchan, Owashi Lodge has a shared lounge, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. The staff are among the best I’ve ever met at any place I’ve stayed at in Niseko. They would all go out of their way and do their best to accommodate you and make you feel welcome. My snowboard bag arrived much later than expected (through no fault of the lodge, it was purely Yamato Transport’s), but the staff did everything they can to get it delivered to me asap. They look after their guests as if it’s a 5-star hotel, and I truly appreciate that. The place isn’t fancy but it has everything you need. Would definitely book again.

Situated in Kutchan, 3.8 km from Hirafu Station, Boken Kazoku features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. I guess I didn’t read the description but it’s a really cool property, it’s an old school turned into a hostel. The owners were extremely nice and communicated everything well. There a bus stop for both directions at the entrance making it very accessible to either town. When I got hurt and had to go to the hospital the grandma at the property who used to be a nurse helped re bandage my ankle after the hospital didn’t do a good job and everyone checked on me every day. It was really sweet.
