Wonderful property off a main road with a huge orange orchard, cute pigs, and adorable chickens (who follow you around!). Loved that there was always a dog or guests roaming around, but it was still extremely quiet and laid back. Klaus, the proprietor, is a fantastic host who loves to chat while he goes about his day. 10/10 experience, can’t wait to come back!!

Under new management from mid 2022 and just 80 metres from Paihia Beach, Peppertree Lodge & Backpackers features a barbecue area with outdoor seating. There was a really nice atmosphere. I had the queen ensuite room which was beautifully decorated, really clean and light. The staff were really helpful and accommodating - when I pointed out a small problem with my window latch they fixed it straight away. The location is also great - really close to the beach and the bus stop / wharf for boat trips. The kitchen area was also lovely and clean and excellent recycling facilities in place outside.

Located in Paihia, 1.1 km from Te Ti Bay Beach, Palm Tree Lodge & Backpackers provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Outdoor areas were well presented and enjoyed hanging around the pool. Bathrooms clean, kitchen plenty of equipment, rooms tidy and comfy. Each had its own desk space which was useful. Staff helpful and friendly
