Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga. The staff were very friendly and there was a lift which was very convenient when I had my heavy bags with me to get to my room on the 2nd floor. The kitchen area was very clean and there was plenty of space in the fridge for my food. The location was very good as it was close by to the InterCity bus stop.

Rotorua Downtown Backpackers is a modern hostel is located in the heart of Rotorua across the road from the I-Site and major bus lines. Very nice location, the room and common areas were very nice and the receptionist very friendly! Highly recommend!

Located on a quiet street opposite Blake Park, Seagulls Guesthouse offers free fibre WiFi and is a 5-minute walk from Mount Maunganui Beach. Everything was perfect. The place is well located, the rooms are comfortable and the whole place is very clean.

Have been here before. Enjoyed my stay then hence my return. Clean & cosy, reasonable.pricing. Had a good nights sleep and the shower was great!

The centrally located Rock Solid Backpackers Rotorua offers free WiFi, a neighboring rock-climbing wall and a spacious guest lounge including a tour desk, a billiards table and a cinema. I think its the best hostel in Rotorua. Inside its very safe and staff are very friendly and full of energy. I reccomend strongly.
