This 3 bedroom, freshly renovated 70's beach shack is a short 150m stroll to the famous Wategos Beach and Rae's on Wategos, and just 7-minutes from Byron Bay town with world-class restaurants, cafes, spas and shops. Away from the hustle and bustle, sit back and relax on the deck surrounded by trees and breathtaking views out to Wategos, the bay and Mt Warning. Most days you'll see dolphins surfing waves at Wategos like true locals, and you'll love the sunsets from the deck! The open plan living, dining and kitchen space opens out to a large deck where you can sit back and relax in the outdoor lounge area. Inside you'll find two spacious bedrooms with comfortable queen-sized beds for a perfect night's sleep. The main rooms boast ocean views where you'll fall asleep to the sound of the waves lapping the shore. The 3rd bedroom hosts a single trundle bed which can be turned into a second single bed for an additional guest upon request. The bathroom is located next to the main bedroom and there is an additional shower and toilet within the downstairs laundry which can be used at any time. Important: Shared property: While you will have the fully self-contained downstairs property all to yourselves, please note the two hosts live upstairs. We will respect your privacy however, we're a friendly couple so don't be shy to say hello. Bookings: Our neighbourhood enjoys the serenity. To ensure everyone is happy we won’t be accepting bookings for schoolies, hens, bucks or partygoers. Children under 5 years: This beach shack is perfect for a family of 5 or for two couples. however, it is not suitable for children under 5 years due to the wired fencing around the balcony and open access to the garage stairs.

A friendly and outgoing person who grew up on Sydney's northern beaches. My husband and I have recently moved to Byron Bay to live amongst a smaller coastal town where we can surf, explore and relax. While we will be working during the day, we're here to help any way we can. As we live upstairs, we will aim to use the on street parking wherever possible, however there may be times where we need to share the driveway, if this is the case we will let you know and try to minimise any inconvenience. We are friendly, so don't be shy to say hello if we do cross paths.

Set in the sort-after location of Wategos in Byron Bay, with renowned Rae's on Wategos just a short walk away. Grab your surfboard and walk down the bush track, opposite the house, to grab a wave or 2 before taking a stroll up to the lighthouse, stopping at the most Easterly Point in Australia along the way. The lighthouse is famous for its sunrise and sunset views. A must-do while you're here. If you want to walk into town, take the track just passed Rae's along the headland. Keep an eye out for turtles, dolphins and manta rays while you're there. And if you're staying during the whale season (June - Nov), you'll be sure to spot a few of them as well. Once you reach The Pass, another popular surf spot, keep walking along the beach and you'll be in town in just 20 minutes. On the way back, you can take the walking track to The Pass, and then head back over the headland back to Wategos.
