It features a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, living room, bedroom, bathroom and balcony. 🚙 Although a rarity in the central part of Sarajevo, our apartment offers free private parking in a fenced yard. 🍫 Our guests have at their disposal and for their use a kitchen with all necessary appliances, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, kettle, toaster, Dolce Gusto coffee machine & more. In the kitchen you will find coffee, coffee pods, teas, and sweets. 📺 Mak Aparment offers free WiFi, digital TV, Netflix, air conditioning and more. 🛀 In our bathroom with a walk-in shower you will find towels, basic toiletries, hairdryer, as well hygienic slippers. 🗺️ If you are looking for a fully equipped base for exploring Sarajevo near the Old town (Baščaršija) and all landmarks, or you simply need a quiet corner for your business or private visit to Sarajevo, our apartment is the right place for you. Hello!👋 We are the Mak Apartment team. After twenty years of intensive travelling (and still going strong) and after being guests in dozens of hostels, apartments and hotels, we now have the opportunity to host other fellow travellers in our apartment in Sarajevo. Our goal is to make our guests feel welcome and to provide them with an equipped base for exploring Sarajevo, near the old part of the city (Baščaršija) and all the sights. Considering that we are also passionate foodies, we offer our guests a fully equipped kitchen for preparing delicacies or quick bites. If you're not in the mood to cook, feel free to ask us for restaurant recommendations - we'll be more than happy to tell you which ones are our favorites in Sarajevo. We also provide our guests with tourist maps (yes, we are from the era of travelling with printed maps). The apartment is equipped so that you feel at home, and we will be at your disposal at any moment for any questions or help (to the extent that it suits you). Mak Apartment is inspired by the persona and work of the most famous Bosnian poet Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar, whose poetic work is partly inspired by medieval Bosnia and the tombstones from that period called “stećci”. Hence, our logo is written in the medieval Bosnian script called "bosančica" and decorated with the motive of a raised hand, which is a frequent motive on Bosnian “stećci”. 📚

📍 Our apartment with secured parking is located in an idyllic central part of Sarajevo called Mejtaš, only 400m from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 250m from the Music Academy, and 450m from the Eternal Flame. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment, you will find the Sarač Ismailova Mosque, the Catholic School Center and the Apostolic Nunciature in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Vatican Embassy). The nearby area also includes the Olympic Museum Sarajevo, markets, the Markale market, pharmacies, as well as numerous cafes and restaurants.
