We stumbled upon this property during a day trip to Peggy's Cove to watch the crashing waves on a windy October afternoon and immediately fell in love with the location, the ever changing Ocean and the amazing sunsets. In 2017, after many months of planning, meetings and renovations, our long time dream of opening a vacation rental came true! After a short move from Halifax, the adventure of transforming the cottages began. Dena has a real talent for renovation and decorating, and Colin is quite handy and good at doing what he's told, so we are the perfect team to take on the cottages. Dena's full time job is in healthcare and commutes to the Halifax Hospitals where she works in Interventional Radiology and the Cardiac Cath Lab. After a stressful day at work there's no better place to come home to than the peace and beauty of the place we are fortunate to call home. Colin is quite happy to work just feet from the Ocean and take care of the day to day operations. There's nothing we enjoy more than having our 2 adult daughters Emma and Chloe spend time with us at the cottages whenever their busy lives allow. It's been a big transformation in our lives and we are tremendously grateful for the kindness of the community, our family and mostly to all of our guests for their support and kind words during our first seasons. We're sure there is never a good time for a global pandemic but we wouldn't have picked 2019! This has definitely added to the challenges of starting a tourism business, but our guests have been fantastic! We can't express enough how grateful and appreciative we are of our guests' reservations, reviews, referrals and repeat business. We enjoy living next to the cottages as we are always on hand to help out or just have a chat. It's always a pleasure to meet our guests and we look forward to welcoming visitors in from all over the world in the near future.

Our cozy cottages are perched on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean on St Margaret's Bay and are literally steps away from the pristine waters of Clifty Cove, a sheltered inlet and an ideal place to start a kayaking adventure in the Bay and around its many islands.
