Κινήσου λοιπόν αργά, σιγανά, μέσα σ' αυτόν τον τόπο, διάλεξε μια Καστανιά, μια Οξιά, ένα Ρυάκι, έναν βράχο στον Γιαλό και μείνε. Ήσυχος. Αφουγκράσου την Αληθινή Ζωή. Άνοιξε τις αισθήσεις και αφομοίωσε όσο μπορείς και δύνασαι. Εδώ πάνω υπάρχουν 4 Εποχές, κάθε μια με τις χάρες τις. Καμιά δεν ξεχωρίζω. 60 χρόνια τώρα, απολαμβάνω την διαδοχή τους. Αυτό γνωρίζω, αυτό και συστήνω. `Where to go?` `What is worth seeing?` The visitors of mount Pelion often ask me. The sight worth seeing, I say, is this Forest next to this Sea. So find your way, slowly and silently around this place, pick out a chestnut or beech tree, a stream, a rock along the coast, and stay there. Stay quiet. Keep an ear out for this way of life. Focus your senses and take in as much as you can. Each of the four seasons come bearing their own distinct gifts. None of them do I favour. For sixty years, I am enjoying their succession. This I know, and this I recommend.
