Offering a garden and garden view, Top of the Town is set in Picton, 1.7 km from Picton Memorial Park Beach and 1.9 km from Shelley Beach. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Free private parking is available and the guest house also offers car hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. At the guest house, the units have a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV. The units come with a kettle, a private bathroom and free WiFi, while some rooms come with a terrace and some have mountain views. At the guest house, the units include bed linen and towels. Guests may eat in the on-site restaurant, which is open for dinner, lunch and cocktails. Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Picton, like cycling. The guest house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. Marlborough Airport is 33 km away.

Originally built in the 1930's Top of the Town has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard. It has a very spacious garden with ample off-street parking for boats and cars and is pet friendly. The rooms are beautifully decorated and include TVs, fridges, microwaves, tea and coffee, bathrobes, irons and ironing board. There is ample outdoor patio spaces for guests to enjoy with room 4 having its own secure outdoor patio ideal for dogs.
Tracee and Bryan are the owners of the property and live on-site with their dog and two cats. Tracee, who manages the property, looks forward to meeting you and making your stay at Top of the Town an enjoyable one. The property was being run as a B and B with an offsite manager. They have changed this to 3 boutique hotel-style rooms and a pet-friendly environment. Originally from Auckland, they moved to what they call their paradise in May 2019 after purchasing Top of the Town and are enjoying living in Piction immensely.
Picton is the ideal centre from which to explore the beautiful Marlborough region and the Queen Charlotte Sound. You can walk into Picton town centre within ten minutes. There are lots of restaurants,cafes, banks, supermarkets and shops. Take a boat trip or hire a kayak. Walk the Queen Charlotte Track or enjoy the Marlborough wineries.
