AlbA is a cottage with an outdoor space surrounded by the natural beauty of the Polje of Alvados, in Porto de Mós, at the heart of the Serra de Aire and Candeeiros Natural Park. It's perfect for nature lovers, hikers, and adventurers. Nestled among mountains, oak forests, and centuries-old olive trees, this limestone region is home to several caves, including the Mira de Aire, Alvados, and Santo António Caves. It's a tranquil place where you can find serenity and be in complete harmony with nature, making it an ideal getaway from the city. Casa AlbA can accommodate up to 4 guests. It features a bedroom, bathroom, living room, workspace, relaxation area, and a fully equipped kitchen. The garden and patio are accessible through the backyard door. The house has been carefully renovated, preserving its 98-year-old original structure, with wooden ceilings, doors, and floors. The name "AlbA" is inspired by the rosa albardeira. Paeonia broteroi is a wildflower native to the Iberian Peninsula, found in the oak forests of the valley. Known for its large pink petals, it is a protected plant due to its rarity and beauty and can be seen in spring under the oaks. In autumn, it’s time for the olive harvest at the Alvados olive press. Most of the olive groves belong to small families who produce oil for their consumption.

We are a family from Alvados, proudly the caretakers of a stone house that has been in our family for six generations. At 98 years old, we decided to renovate it, preserving its century-old features. The doors, ceilings, and floors, all made of original oak, continue to tell the story of our home. This is a local and family project, and we are delighted to have people around. We’ve always dreamed of transforming our home into a short-let, allowing us to renovate and preserve the village’s rich heritage. Casa AlbA is the perfect retreat for those visiting the Serra de Aire and Candeeiros Natural Park, the Sanctuary of Fátima, Nazaré with its giant waves, and the Alcobaça Monastery with its traditional conventual sweets. It’s also close to the São Jorge Military Camp, Porto de Mós, Batalha Monastery, Marinha Grande, Leiria, and the Atlantic coast to Peniche. Just a few kilometres from Tomar, Torres Novas, and the Almourol Castle, it’s located in the Centre of Portugal. In the heart of the natural park, the Polje of Alvados offers a peaceful place to relax, surrounded by mountains, waterfalls (in winter), and oak forests of rare beauty. Located along the trekking route between Nazaré and Fátima, it’s also perfect for exploring the Fórnea, the caves, and Porto de Mós Castle. The villages of Alvados and Alcaria offer adventures like horseback riding, electric bikes, buggy tours, paragliding, downhill, biking, and rock climbing. The Natural Activity Interpretation Center in the Alvados Valley is the ideal place to get information.
