Palheiro do Malgas is a family-run local accommodation located in Lugar da Ribeira Cimeira, in Serpins, in the municipality of Lousã. The hosts want to provide a quality space, which has been the subject of an integral rehabilitation, carried out with all due respect for the integration into the surrounding natural context and the reuse of materials and traditional construction techniques. We want our guests and visitors to feel comfortable and be able to enjoy the surrounding landscape in a space designed for contemplation. Palheiro do Malgas has a private bathroom, cable TV, Wi-Fi, heating, fridge, fan and breakfast is included, where local products are privileged.
We are about 100 meters from the river and you can hear the sound of the water while resting on the balcony.
You can take several routes on foot or by bicycle, as we have several available for our guests.
This entire area offers several points of tourist interest, such as viewpoints, walkways, river beaches, mountain villages, mountain trails and we have an excellent cuisine as we are the land of Chanfana!

Palheiro do Malgas is a small Bed & Breakfast type accommodation that resulted from the desire of its hosts to make known the place of Ribeira Cimeira, where they moved their "weapons" and luggage almost 1 year ago to fulfill their dream of returning to countryside and change their life... This is a small place of half a dozen family houses, mostly for holidays and weekends, located on the banks of the River Ceira, about 2 km from the village of Serpins. Here you can experience nature in its purest state and you can find a more rural way of life, sharing your space and time only with the local fauna and flora and enjoying the river, the forest, nature, in perfect conditions of tranquility, security, isolation, peace and harmony! Here at Palheiro do Malgas we work to offer our guests the possibility of a unique stay, in a privileged place by nature, with all the comfort and respect for the needs of our visitors. Palheiro do Malgas is located about 800 meters from a natural lagoon, where the River Ceira narrows between two 20 meters high ravines, forming a gorge of extreme beauty. This is a must-visit place, of great tourist interest, along with the Cerro da Candosa Walkways, at the top of one of the cliffs in the Cabril do Ceira gorge. It is here that you can venture into diving, jumping from one of the cliffs in the deepest part of the river. You can also try canoeing and it is even possible to rappel or slide with some of the local event companies. Or you can simply come to meditate or do yoga in the morning or at sunset... Have you already made your reservation to come and discover Cabril do Ceira and Serra da Lousã, with their fantastic landscapes, schist villages, natural pools and river beaches? And you can visit Coimbra and its heritage, just 30 km away or go to Figueira da Foz and see the sea. You will also find some excellent restaurants, such as Burgo or Casa Velha, where regional cuisine reigns supreme. And be sure to try Serra da Lousã honey or Licor Beirão, the most famous liqueur in Portugal that was born here in Lousã!
