Located just over one hour drive from Lisbon and a few minutes from Fátima Sanctuary, one of the most centres of pilgrimage in the world, is the Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mór. Meals are available for guests of the Quinta, upon request and at an extra fee. Amazingly, the home has been the same for over 300 years. The original owner was the king's personal physician, and, as thanks of his years of loyal service, the king gave him the property and also a noble title.
