Your hosts, Chris and Beth Roenker, bought The Seafarer Inn in 2013. Long-time Rockport residents, they look forward to many happy years providing visitors with a place to stay in Cape Ann. We Love Golfing, Kayaking, Sitting on the Beach and sitting by the fire.

A casual, charming home by the sea... Relax on the front porch and watch the boats, smell the sea, and listen to the waves. Walk a few steps to historic Straitsmouth Cove, and explore tide pools or relax on the sand by the water. We are happy to lend you a beach chair! Explore beautiful Rockport, a quaint seaside village with lots to see and do. Start by walking Old Garden Path along the ocean to Old Garden Beach and then to the Headlands for an unforgettable view of Sandy Bay. Stroll to charming Bearskin Neck and visit art galleries, quaint shops, restaurants, churches, and historic architecture. Visit the Rockport Art Association and attend a concert at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, home of Rockport Music's world-famous Chamber Music Festival. Sincerely, Chris and Beth Roenker

The Seafarer Inn has a long history as a place to stay to get away from it all when visiting Rockport, Mass. Built in 1890, the Seafarer Inn was first used by the famous Rockport hotel "The Straitsmouth Inn" as a cottage that guests could stay at away from the main hotel. The map below is from 1899 and shows the Seafarer Inn at it's current location on Marmion Way (then called "Estes Ave"), before the Coast Guard Station was built.
