The hosts of Footprints in Kleinmond are not your average hosts. Maritz & Lindie met in 2008 and got married in 2009. Their lives have been centred around their family and chasing their dreams in support of that. One of their dreams was to start a business, called MaritzART, that sells one-of-a-kind Nguni Products and Oil Painted Artwork. In 2012, they decided to leave the hussle and bustle of the corporate world behind, and utilise their talents to pursue their passions. Their ‘leap of faith’ paid off, and the enjoyed the journey to the fullest This wasn’t enough for them! Their two daughters, who commuted between Stellenbosch University and Pretoria, where Lindie and Maritz resided at the time; ignited new passions within them. Lindie, a business opportunity seeking, sales person, and Maritz’, a multi-talented artist; seeked out an opportunity to relocate to the beautiful plains of Kleinmond and combine their creative skills and their passion for people, in opening their very own guesthouse – FOOTPRINTS IN KLEINMOND. What makes the Footprints in Kleinmond’s accommodation so unique, is that it is fashioned with Maritz’s one-of-a-kind artwork – true to the essence of our beautiful nation. Footprints in Kleinmond offers perfect and luxurious holiday accommodation in a quiet cul-de-sac, just 400 m from the Kleinmond beach. Guests have a choice of booking the seperate 5-sleeper, self-catering rondawel or one of the cosy 2-sleeper ground-floor rooms of the main house. The rondawel comprises 2 rooms furnished with a queen-size and single beds, sharing a shower-only bathroom with a toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and oven, microwave, fridge, tea and coffee facilities and a dining area. Located in the main house, the rooms are furnished with a king-size, queen-size or twin beds and have en-suite bathrooms with a shower or a shower and a bath, and toilets. The rooms share the use of a communal kitchen with a stove, microwave, bar fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Guests can relax in the communal lounge and dining area, and the rooms can be booked together as a unit for a group or family. The rondawel and the house open onto a shared patio with outdoor seating and a built-in braai. TVs with DStv and uncapped Wi-Fi, even during loadshedding, is available. Parking is provided on the premises.
