Ammar was incredibly kind and accommodating of our late arrival and Mr Ali who we met at breakfast was also happy to answer all our questions about Omani culture. The rooms are tidy and spacious, the prices very reasonable. The house has a nice terrace where free coffee and tea is offered for the guests. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, and you can do your laundry for 1 OMR. It’s centrally located, a 5-minute walk from the fort and the souq. It was very calm and quite. The view is stupendous from the 2 front rooms. The room is value for money. The addition of an outdoor chair from which to admire the view was welcome. It had a good range of English language TV channels which was welcome. The set dinner was delicious with a variety of dishes and the breakfast was good too. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel (or the guest house, rather) is a few yards away from the start of the Balcony Walk, the main attraction. We loved the fact that there were very few guests staying (3 rooms only), as it gave a family vibe, which was really nice. The food we had for dinner and breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Can only recommend! Careful! You must have a 4WD to reach the hotel. A normal car won't go up those hills and rough terrain!NicolaYoung couple
