Old Town Square
This expanse of well-trodden cobbles has been the heart of Prague for centuries. With Christmas Markets in the winter and street bands in the summer, the square is alive with tourists and locals bustling to and fro. Watching over the scenes below are the Old Town Hall tower, the spires of the imposing Týn Church, and the surrounding patchwork of colourful facades.

Where many beautiful historic buildings are.
Where many beautiful historic buildings are. It’s lively and entertaining. The Astronomical Clock is beautiful as well as the Church Lady before Tyn.
Restaurants on square are good but much pricier due to the location.. a drink definitely worth it to take in the views.

Old Town in general is very commercialized.
Old Town in general is very commercialized. Plenty of U.S. chains throughout the area--MacDonalds, KFC, Starbucks etc. Very crowded. Restaurants in this area are not a good deal due to it being geared to tourists. To get an idea of the real Prague where locals hang out, definitely do not expect it in this area. Cross the river into the Mala Strana, and you suddenly see why people actually like Prague so much.

The Old Town Square is fascinating.
The Old Town Square is fascinating. We stayed at The Cube - about 300-500 metres from the square, we stayed 5 days and I could go back for another month and still not see everything. Prague is the most fantastic city. I loved it. So much to see. The food is delicious. People are friendly and fantastic. I walked about 15 km a day, and it felt like nothing. Book some tours with local guides.

Do your research about the buildings & sights around the old town and the square. The astronomical clock is a must, get there about 5 minutes before turn of the hour. We got there at 12pm and the sounds of the bells ringing at the church across the square made for a great video as the 12 apostles come out and move around the clock.

This was one of my favorite places on earth, now absolutely flooded with shallow-minded tourists moving like robots from one selfie spot to another.
Avoid high season and high time. At night, avoid it because of the roving bands of drunk guys in their twenties who think Prague is one big beer hall.
I adore this cultured city. The tourists are wrecking the experience. Come off season and at inconvenient times like early morning to see what we all loved about it. But if history and architecture and sobriety mean nothing to you, please stay away.

While it's an amazing a lively place, avoid eating directly in the middle of it. It's a tourist trap, you'll be pushed to leave a tip, or even worse, have it on the bill as "service fee".

The location was really great next to the old town square, it was close with everything. It was very easy to find the apartment and the keys. The host was really nice and helped us with the taxi to go to the airport. The apartment was very clean. In the room it was warm and cozy even tho Prauge was freezing cold. Will definetly go back.
Fabulous Hotel in a great location. 3 minutes walk from Charles Bridge and about 6 minutes walk from Old Town Square. Breakfast was great, with a good choice of food both hot and cold. Staff were very friendly. The view from our room terrace was amazing. We were overlooking the castle and part of Charles Bridge. The only downside for us was the lighting ,as it was quite dim around the mirror. It could do with a couple of spotlights just around the mirror for women to put their make up on. All in all a lovely stay.
The breakfast is excellent, with amazing choices and range of options plus the attentive and friendly staffs. The Room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is just a walking distance to Old town square. I would definitely stay here again if I will visit Prague again. Highly Recommended.
Grandium is a big and comfortable hotel close to the city center. The standard twin room met our expectations. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay, as the variety and quality of foods was excellent. The location of the hotel was also pretty convenient, about 10 mins on foot from the Old Town Square. The price of the room was also very good. The only downsides were the TV, that had no streaming services, only international TV channels, and the expensive mini bar, although that can be expected in 5 star hotels.
Myself and my 7 year old son were made to feel welcome during our stay here. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was kept very clean and I appreciated the complimentary bits given to us. We both enjoyed the breakfast each morning - a nice, very well presented selection. I found the bed to be very comfortable, giving me great nights sleep! The location of the hotel in a quiet square just off the old town square was excellent.
This is a beautiful old property. Located between the Charles bridge and old town square, both are a few minutes away. We had a suite, it was gorgeous with an original painted ceiling. Lift access to all floors. This is an internet hotel, so no reception service and you get a code for the door which also operates your room key. Outside there are bars, shops, ATM’s and all you need. I would have given 5 stars, but there was a couple of issues.
The hotel was comfortable and incredibly well-located on the Old Town Square, opposite the Astronomical Clock. Breakfast was pretty good, with a decent selection of hot and cold food. Staff at the hotel were very pleasant and friendly.
This is a fantastic hotel, very close to the Old Town Square. Train station, metro, bus and tram stop around the corner easy to walk or travel around the city.
Hotel is beautiful, friendly staff, beds comfy, good hairdryer and toiletries. Welcome drink, good breakfast variety and Prosecco is a nice touch.
Staff were so nice and helpful. Even carried our cases up the multiple sets of stairs upto our apartment. Spotlessly clean. Loved the decor. The U Prince Outdoor restaurant and it's staff were so inviting, helpful and food was tasty. View from apartment was breathtaking. Right opposite astronomical clock and old town square. Very central to all the tourist attractions. Would stay here again.
