Beautiful wooden hotel.
The check in was perfect. Aya was exceptionally king and friendly and she explained everything about the hotel in great detail.
The location is great, close to the park (with the deer) and also close to Nara's lively town center.

This hotel is worth every penny. The rooms are AMAZING! The view from the hot baths is wonderful. The 7 course dinner was delicious and breakfast was huge! Our children (10 and 14) were very well catered for.

This is a great little find, only 10 mins from the station and within walking distance to the beautiful Nara Park and the Deer. The rooms are lovely in the old sake brewery's place you will be greeted by the nicest staff all ready to assist with anything. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, which was delightful and delicious. If you want to be transported in time this place is for you.

You might want to go to Himuro Shrine (氷室神社) for a quieter location to admire the cherry blossoms (during spring) and to feed the deer with less competition from other tourists! Is very busy and packed with tourists in peak season.
Is very busy and packed with tourists in peak season. The deer closer the entrance are very aggressive so will charge you and bite your clothes to get biscuits. Go further up the park to get some peace and quiet and meet calmer deer. Also, some tourists will feed wrappers and ice cream to the deer thinking it is funny. If you see this, please tell them not to. The deer will get sick.

It is super easy to walk to the Nara Park along the city’s main pedestrian drag, or catch a bus to other attractions. The room was big for the Japanese standards, had a tv, a fridge and an electric kettle. The staff was super friendly (few spoke English). At the reception you could pick additional pillows, PJs, shampoo, drinks, you name it. Breakfast was big and varied.

The hotel sits conveniently at the border between Nara Park with its great temples, and the area of shops and restaurants around the train station. It sits besides a busy road, but with the windows closed this is no bother at all and our stay was quiet and relaxed. We recommend the breakfast, both the Japanese and the Western options are great. Staff were great, professional, very helpful and warm.
