Family is very friendly and helping. The dinner was amazing and they had lots of vegetarian options for me. The room is big and had a nice view in the mountain as well as a heating mattress, which was very helpful in winter. The house also had a nice roof top terrace with barbecue.

Zoo si homestay, hotel in Sa Pa

With mountain views, Zoo si homestay is set in Sa Pa and has a restaurant, full-day security, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace.

It was one of the best place we stayed during our trip. The place located very close to the city, it is walkable or easy and cheap if you take a taxi. The place was a paradise, with an amazing view, super clean and comfortable! Tasty breakfast and dinners available by request. I definitely suggest to stay there for the experience instead of hotels! Also very close to the cat cat village.

Unless you're very confident in your ability to handle the 600 stairs at that elevation, book the ticket for the funicular to take you up to the summit! You can book the Sapa funicular (both ways), cable car to Fansipan (both ways), and the funicular at Fansipan itself (one way - up) on Klook to skip out on the lines. Go on a weekday if you can help it to avoid queues.

    Be fit.

Be fit. There is a lot of walking uphill to get to the cable car after you alight from the train from Sapa. I'd suggest you go after lunch as the tour groups all go early in the morning and it was like a dog's breakfast trying to get tickets at the train station and mayhem from the amount of tourist groups pushing and shoving like it was such an urgency to get to where they had to go shoving people out of the way to get to the train. It was laughable seeing them running frantically to the train like they'd miss out when the train came every few minutes. The day we went was not a cloud in the sky. By afternoon though there was mist on the mountains. It was a very hot day last week when we went. If you are terrified of heights and climbing lots of stairs think wisely before going up. It will test your fears of heights. I would definitely not go on a wet day. Very easy to have a fall. Overall magnificent being up so high and able to overcome my fear of heights.

dress warm, the weather on the peak could change, or have a risk to catching a cold from wind chill. Bring along a thermal bottle fill with hot tea or coffee. Tea or coffee at the rest stop range from 100000VND to 200000VND. The buffet is worth the try. Plan to go up the peak as early as its open then trolling down those steps to the cable station. Spare a couple hours at the restaurant to sample over 60 local dishes

Be careful hiking to the top, there are many cattle trails which can lead you off the path. They previously had park guards posted to prevent tourists from doing the hike independently. It's a fantastic cable car ride to the summit. The temples at the top of the mountain are so peaceful and it's a great place to spend a few hours meditating. People are generally very respectful and quiet. Even in the mist it's beautiful but if you see a clear day with the mountain peak visible, I recommend heading up straight away! It's not so common.

Even in the socked in conditions we had in late January, the temple complex at the top of Vietnam's highest mountain was worth climbing hundreds of steps to visit. The cable car took us up above the cloud deck and sometimes the mists would part, teasing us with what must be a fabulous view in good weather. If you're socked in down in Sapa town, it's still worth taking the cable car up to see.

It’s very clean and comfortable, a little far from Sapa centre but across the road from Fansipan Mountain which is convenient. Staff were 100% friendly and helpful- there is a free shuttle bus going back from central Sapa to hotel. The restaurant is fantastic also.

We loved everything about this hotel. From the eclectic decor to the exceptional staff, this place was amazing. Our room was comfortable and charming with a balcony overlooking Sapa and the mountains. The bar and restaurant were above expectations, and the pool was beautiful. A bonus was the VIP treatment we received for the train and cable car to Fansipan Mountain as guests of the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a very special place to stay.

Good breakfast included. Excellent service provided for tour bookings by hotel staff even though it was a last minute arrangement. They helped book for us all the tours in Sapa including to Fansipan mountain cable cars, Alpine Coaster, tour Sapa the Love Waterfall, Lonely Tree, terraces. Hotel also arranged our transfers to Lao Cai border for our China trip.

Everything, it is near the Sun Plaza where the train station and city square was. Ms Jenny and Ms Vanh and colleagues both super helpful before we arrive untip when we leave. They helped with all 3 levels of Sapa's most famous attraction, Fansipan Mountain. So glad we stayed with Eden Boutique Hotel

Our host, Trang who made our six day stay a pleasure. The hotel is in a great location with great views close to the Fansipan Mountain cable car station, restaurants, cafes and the “neon central” area beside the lake. Trang made great recommendations as to what areas of Sapa to visit and when was the best time to go up the mountain.

Great family run hotel with amazing views of Fansipan mountain! Very close to town but still further enough away to not hear the hustle and bustle at night. The owners were very helpful on giving us tips on what to do and where to eat! Will definitely stay here again!!
