Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta asub Ervedosa do Douros, 29 km kaugusel Douro muuseumist. Kohapeal on hooajaline välibassein, tasuta eraparkla, aed ja ühine puhkeruum. This is a vinyard (they don't make wine on site) and is tucked at the end of a valley, so all views were of the Douro river and wineries. The accommodation is distributed in different buildings and there is beautiful landscaping and outdoor seating, plus a pool looking over the valley. The food is very good (breakfast and dinner). We missed out on a wine tasking - you do need to book - but did our own by the glass on the restaurant terrace. Not really for kids, but for adults, a lovely place. The staff were super friendly and really did make us feel welcome.

Very good restaurant and wonderful service. Rooms are surprisingly spacious. Castelbel toiletries— a local Portuguese brand. Front desk organized a day trip for us, which was fabulous. The views from this hotel are breathtaking. Breakfast is delicious, lots of local selections and fresh fruit. Perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs. The bar is fantastic, we ate every evening meal on site three days in a row. It was that good, and we are generally picky. We are already talking about coming back again. Linda and Vanessa were two of our favorites.

First Six Senses we visited in Europe, we have not been disappointed. From the location, the friendliness on arrival and every time you meet someone. Always helpful and very friendly. Perfect stay over the New Year festivities. will come again at different season to fully enjoy the valley.

Quinta São Jose do asub Armamaris, 10 km kaugusel Douro muuseumist. Barrilario Douro Wine Hotel e Spa pakub majutust koos hooajalise välibasseini, tasuta privaatse parkimise, aia ja terrassiga. Amazing views , amazing staff , clean , modern rustic design . Everything was just perfect . Staff was so lovely - everyone was tripping over themselves to accommodate our every need . The only negative was that as vegetarians they had limited offering at the restaurant but the one dish we were able to order was fantastic . Highly recommend this hotel !
