great hot spring on the roof, comfortable japanese style rooms with tatami mats, low beds and everything you need. The hotel offers a wide range of free of charge amenities like popsicles and late night ramen.
The entrance to the metro & underground food, restaurant & shopping area is across the street, so very convenient.
The spa hot spring 'onsen' bath (Not included in room price) has also a steamroom: it looks modern, well maintained and although not that large, it is very nice.
The hotel was really great for the price. Everything is traditional Japanese; tatami everywhere and you take your shoes off right at the entrance rather than walking to your room with them. Onsen is not tattoo-friendly so I did not use, but I went to Yamagata one day to use the hot spring there instead. Breakfast was terrific, with many small plates to try lots of the food of Sendai. The staff was extremely helpful, and gave me suggestions for where to eat harakomeshi.
A beautiful hot spring spa hotel nestled in the mountains outside of Sendai. A Lovely staff, amazing food, and a well appointed hotel. The main Onsen was lovely, and the the food and beverages were of the highest quality.
