What is advertised is what you get. I've stayed in hostels prior to this, but the amount of comfort I felt here, I didn't want to leave. I'll start with the kindness of the staff. I had a long journey and arrived way earlier than I expected. Casually went to drop off my bag, but the one for the staff at the front desk told me it was okay to use the restroom to freshen up. Now, this was a suite restroom. I had my bathe, even did my makeup 😆 before I checked in without any rush. That set the tone for my stay. The cleanliness, the decor, the bed, the smell, the lounge, the willingness to help, the central location - I was thrilled to stay here and look forward to being back / trying other locations

The building is charming and the rooms airy and comfortable. Staff were friendly accommodating..The bar is a fun place and bartender very welcoming.

Congrats if you see this comment 'coz you have found a gem just like I did :) Rainer was a great host, he really mean it when he said "welcome home". I have stayed at many backpacker hostels when traveling alone before this but none of them gave the same vibe as Rainer's place. I felt extremely calm and safe staying at his place. The homestay is beautiful, clean, warm, and equipped with everything we need (including converter, padlock, numerous charging points etc). It also has a great view and I enjoy looking at the scenery through the big window in the living room. I also love that they have female-only rooms and big bathrooms. I think people tend to just naturally mingle with each other under the comfortable atmosphere in the homestay. Everyone were just so lovely and friendly. Rainer sets few simple rules which give all the guests a peace of mind. As he is staying at the same place I could easily reach out to him if I had any questions. He will give a clear guidance once you make the booking and that basically will answer all the questions you may have about his place. Few quick pointers that may help: 1) Transport: There is a bus stop just 2min walking distance from the homestay and the bus never failed to arrive on time (helpful tips: use SBB apps to monitor the time schedule). The bus comes twice in an hour and takes around 18mins to town. 2) Early check in: As I reached Lucerne early in the morning Rainer allowed me to leave my luggage at the homestay before the check-in time 3) Breakfast/ Food: Simple breakfast (instant noodles, bread, cereals) with additional charges are provided, all prices are specified on the menu and you could just make your own payment using the credit card machine in the kitchen. You can also buy your own ingredients and cook. The kitchen are well equipped with the cooking utensils.

Jana is a very responsive host who provides excellent recommendations and clear instructions. He also goes above and beyond to meet all of our requests. I cannot thank him enough to take initiative to make sure my parents arrived safely. My family had a great time staying at his place. The location is convenient and central to everything.

In Lucerne, 4.6 km from the KKL Culture and Congress Center Lucerne, the Gasthaus Badhof offers you very spacious rooms with the best comfort. room is super comfort with great view， the only issue is ideally to diversify type of breakfast，hopefully could add Asian style breakfast for more options

The location was perfect. It was close to everything. Hosts were friendly and helpful - explained everything about the apartment while showing us around it. They had a small book as well to help which contains tips as well about the city. The apartment was amazing, well designed, clean and complete. Even the baby's cot was prepared for us. We didnt have to assemble it ourselves - as compared to other places we stayed in. Parking was not far which makes it convenient. Place is baby friendly as well. If we go back in luzern we will for sure book again here.
