Ranasa Yogyakarta features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and bar in Timuran. It's such a quiet place with a nice and calm vibe even though it's in the middle of the city. Because of that, it also has a close walking distance to just about anything. Furthermore the breakfast was delicious (in my oppinion). When you woke up, a staff would cook a thick pancake with banana and cut some fruits for you - very fulfilling and delicious! They also have some nice facilities like a big kitchen and a great outdoor shower.

It was serene and has a fully covered courtyard in the the center where you can eat breakfast or have tea every morning (the photos on the site are very accurate). The individually-portioned breakfast was awesome, very generous, and changed on a daily basis. I also loved the fresh ginger tea they served in the evenings. In terms of location, you can get to Malioboro via a $2 cab ride (or you can walk 20-30min to get there). It's super easy to get cabs in Yogyakarta. There's also a convenience store right outside on the main road, and the guest house is a 3min walk away from Tempo Gelato (a popular dessert place). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Bambang, who is such a kind person and always there when we needed something.
