The accomedation should be priced much higher, but the feeling I had was that this couple wanted to help as many people experience true Japanese culture, without price being a constraint. Their home was beautiful, the futons were comfortable (even though usually we struggle with them), we had the most delicious breakfast and had the best recommendations for sightseeing.
