Very friendly people, and I loved the location right beside the oasis. It was still right beside town and easy to walk to everything, but felt like a beautiful retreat. The bungalows is a special place, in a palm grove. You feel like you are entering a different world, silent and beautiful. The one room apartment is new which is great because it means everything inside is new too and very well functioning. The ambience is cozy and chic, without being pretentious. A small kitchen corner with a fridge was very appreciated by us. There is heating/cooler to adjust the temperature to your own preferences, if needed. And outside is just wonderful. There are only palms all around for the cultivation of dates. And a pool that makes the atmosphere even more magic.. and can always be used to take a bath! We were a couple with a 3 year old kid who enjoyed running around the property a lot. We were very spoiled during the whole stay by the owner. He was able to accommodate all our needs with grace and warmth and at the same time to leave us our privacy. The place is 5 min away on foot to a spot where you can rent a dromedary for a walk or the quad for a drive. It is perfect to enjoy the sunset too! Going the other way, you can walk toward the center of Tozour (which is not super close on foot but you can reach it very quickly on a carriage!). With a 10 min walk you can also reach a lovely museum on the history of the country which I would recommend. Ah and in front of the bungalows there is a lovely cafe, where you can get several different beverages. Beautiful spot too to relax !!

A small castle in the middle of the desert, comfortable, clean, fully equipped with everything you might need. Located in a pleasant garden about 1km outside Chebika village, on the border between the desert and the mountains, it is a dream come true for all who want to get away from everything and enjoy complete serenity without sacrificing their comfort. It is also a fantastic base for exploring the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Mides, and taking advantage of other hiking opportunities in the area. Florian was prompt to answer all online inquiries, and Salah, who speaks French, English, Polish and Arabic and who lives across the road (about 20 minutes walking away), was exceptionally nice, kind and helpful. Unless you are afraid of wide open spaces or sleeping in complete isolation, do not hesitate. I tend to forget 95% of places I have stayed at. Castello Bianco is one place I will remember for sure.

Dar Hi is a design hotel 1 minutes’ walk from Nefta’s palmgroves in southern Tunisia. A natural hot spring heats the outdoor swimming pool and guests can enjoy a hammam and spa treatments on site. Central location for the movie filming locations that we wanted to see. The staff was very attentive to our needs and the food was excellent.
